-The main character awakes one day to notice various strings linked to objects and characters as the story progresses it is revealed that the strings appear to lead the characters to and from destinations or objects to which they are connected, nobody notices the protagonist however and so he continues on his way to his school, there he disconnects his friend from the strings, and she notices him they speak to one another and proceed to wander around the school, before leaving for a coffee shop significantly shaken by their experience thus far, it is here that the protagonists learn that the strings essentially lead those connected to them. They leave the cafe to go home and rest on the way however they come across an imp-like creature who appears to be responsible for the strings, they converse with it and proceed to enter the house of the secondary protagonist, they fall asleep and wake in the morning finding everything is as usual.
Key Micro Features:
                -Camera Work:
-For camera work we intend to use several close ups and establishing shots throughout, the former to help promote the drama of certain scenes and the latter to show the audience the strings throughout the film, e.g. an establishing shot of a street, showing pedestrians tied to their locations

-Editing:
-In terms of editing we intend to use fairly standard quick cuts to transition between scenes though we may also use dissolves into establishing shots we will also be using after effects to help with the strings as we can make strings that aren’t near the camera in an after effects program, this would save time in setting up scenes and would also allow the streets to remain usable by the general public.
                -Sound:
-For sound it may be an idea to have the majority of the film silent, with ambient sound in the background though music will still be present namely ambient soundtracks such as ‘Ghosts I-IV’ a copyright free album comprised by Nine Inch Nails that is entirely comprised of ambient music.
                -Mise-en-Scene:
- String will play a particularly large role in the film as it is the entire basis of the plot, as previously mentioned however we are aware that it may be impractical to actually use string in some places, such as exterior scenes, however as was also mentioned earlier we should be able to edit the shots in post to add distant strings. Actors will be gotten from outside the group allowing us to focus on lighting, shot angles and set design on film days.
Target audience:
-Our target audience is comprised of people in the age range of 15-25 as we feel that this is the age range that would be the most interested in drama/thriller films and short films.
Audience Appeal:
-The appeal for our film is the plot also it’s free.
Influential Films:
-‘Marble Hornets’ web series (this is a creepypasta that has been turned into a web series similar to how we intend to turn one into a short film)
-‘Donnie Darko’ (this was the film that inspired us to create a film with a meaning behind it)
-‘Shawshank Redemption’ (This was a film adaptation of a short story)
-‘It’ (Another short story that became a film)
-‘When a Stranger Calls’ (A film that was based on the popular urban legend ‘The Baby Sitter and the Man Upstairs’)
Unique Selling Point:
-The unique selling point of our film is the story, not the best USP but it’s the
